Privacy & cookie policy
This page explains what cookies boromore uses and what personal data it stores about you.
Cookies
boromore uses a single cookie to keep you signed in. It's strictly necessary for the app to work, so it's set without asking for consent and contains no tracking or advertising data. We don't use any analytics or third-party cookies.
Personal data we store
Your organization's data is stored in boromore for as long as your account exists. This includes:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your password, stored as a one-way hash that nobody, including admins, can read back
- Whether you're an admin of your organization
- Your language preference
- Which organization (household, club, etc.) you belong to
- The shopping lists, gift lists, inventory items, and supply items you add or interact with
Who can see your data
Everyone in your organization can see shopping lists, inventory, and supplies. Gift list items you add are hidden from the list owner so gifts stay a surprise. If your organization connects with another one, items you've explicitly marked as shared become visible and borrowable by that other organization too.
How long we keep it
An admin can remove you as a member, which deactivates your account immediately. For 30 days afterwards, an admin can reactivate it and restore full access. After 30 days, your name, email, and password are automatically and permanently erased; your past contributions to shared lists and inventory stay in place so your household's records aren't broken.
Your rights
You can ask an admin of your organization to see, correct, or remove your personal data at any time. Because lists and inventory are shared household data rather than solely yours, removal works by anonymizing your account rather than deleting shared content outright.
Contact
For any question about your data, contact an admin of your organization.
